SUMMARY
Compiles information from physical counts and system records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of materials, goods and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Cycle count warehouse to determine if materials on hand are in sufficient quantity.
Prepares purchase requisitions and purchase orders and communicates purchase order information to suppliers.
Solicits, evaluates, and documents quotes from potential vendors to support cost, quality, delivery, and sourcing decisions.
Verify nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
Prepares and verifies monthly purchasing records, including index reports, pricing, and quantities.
Communicate with suppliers regarding expediting needs or concerns about late deliveries.
Place orders with approved suppliers.
Work with Accounts Payable on pricing discrepancies.
Perform related duties as required by manager.
Communicates with managers, supervisors, co-workers, and others; maintains confidentiality; and represents the Company professionally.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of BPCS a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to operate forklift in warehouse setting. Occasional traveling is required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
