Job Summary
The Project Engineer supports the project team in various functions, including but not limited to job cost tracking, schedule tracking, change orders, RFI's, and submittals.
Minimum Qualifications
- A working knowledge of construction methodology and managerial processes at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, an electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience of 3 years or more
- Leadership experience in a field environment
- Construction management degree
- Experience in the construction industry
- Ability to read/interpret/analyze construction schedules
- Extensive document controls experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of job cost tracking
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Familiarity with Access a plus
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, make decisions, and contribute as needed
- Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Tracking construction contract design changes and updates
- Tracking of project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs
- Coordinating design changes within construction team
- Assist with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log
- Assist with development and maintenance of project schedule
- Assist with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs
- Ability to prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to client
- Perform additional duties as assigned
