Why this role

• Own the conversion of structural intent into accurate, code-compliant shop drawings.

Core responsibilities

• Create structural shop drawings and detailed rebar layouts that meet specifications, applicable codes/standards, and reliability requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and resolve design or installation constraints.
• Prepare/review plans and drawings; execute detailed drafting work.
• Assist with material takeoffs and cost estimates; present pricing.
• Contribute to civil engineering design tasks as needed.
• Maintain organized engineering records and project files.
• Draft and share project descriptions, schedules, and milestones.
• Analyze product design, customer needs, and performance standards; define project specifications.
• Evaluate contractor bids, negotiate with vendors, and coordinate technical work via meetings and proactive communication.
  
  

Qualifications

BS degree.

Fluency in AutoCAD; skilled at interpreting architectural, structural, and process drawings.

Track record solving complex technical problems spanning multiple technologies; able to advise and troubleshoot.

Leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams; strong influencing skills.

Ability to coach, motivate, and elevate team performance and engagement.

Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative approach.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.

Occasional travel (typically

• Pay: $50,000–$60,000 (exempt)
