Overview

Our client is seeking an SAP FICO Lead / Specialist to serve as the primary bridge between Finance and IT, owning the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of our SAP Finance landscape. This role will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Controlling, and Engineering teams to modernize and optimize financial processes, support system upgrades, and help drive our evolution toward SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on SAP FICO expert and a trusted advisor to finance stakeholders.

Responsilities

Own and Enhance the SAP Finance Landscape

• Lead the design, configuration, and support of SAP FICO across:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Banking & Treasury
• Fixed Assets
• Taxation
• Special Purpose Ledger
• Translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions and partner with developers to deliver enhancements.
• Drive continuous process improvement and system optimization.

Partner with Finance & Business Stakeholders

• Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Accounting, Sales Operations, and IT.
• Lead requirements gathering workshops and solution design sessions.
• Provide guidance and best practices for financial processes and system usage.
• Train end users and create clear process documentation.

Support Integrations & System Evolution

• Design and maintain integrations between SAP FICO and:
• SAP MM / SD
• SAP BW and BPC
• Rights Management systems (SAP IPM or similar)
• Prepare functional specifications and oversee RICEFW development.
• Support SAP upgrades, enhancements, and S/4HANA initiatives.

Ensure Financial Integrity & Compliance

• Support quarter-end and year-end financial close activities.
• Help ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
• Maintain data integrity across financial and controlling systems.

Qualifications:

Core Experience

• 7 years of hands-on SAP FICO functional experience.
• Strong configuration expertise across core FI modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Banking, Tax).
• Proven experience delivering SAP implementations, upgrades, or major enhancements.
• Experience writing functional specifications and working closely with technical teams.

Integration & Modernization

• Understanding of cross-module integrations (MM, SD, BW, BPC).
• Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to Finance.
• Experience supporting or implementing SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.

Industry & Domain Knowledge

• Solid understanding of accounting and financial close processes.
• Experience in Media & Entertainment or Rights Management systems is a plus.
