Job Purpose

• The MOLDING MACHINE OPERATOR will assist with set up, operation, and monitoring of molding machines to produce plastic products according to specifications, performing quality checks, basic maintenance, and keeping their work area clean.

Duties Include

• Monitors in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Obtains materials (bin/trays) to the machine and removes finished products from machine and/or conveyor belt.
• Degate parts from runner, and packages complete molded products.
• Performs routine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on machinery and tools to prevent malfunctions.
• Records data, completes required paperwork, and reports defective materials or issues to supervisor/manager.

Experience and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to perform maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• A keen eye for detail to inspect products for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the production process.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety, quality , and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and perform basic calculations.
• Ability to use a pallet jack.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• OCULUS provides a smoke and vape-free environment on company premises for its employees, customers, and visitors.
• Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will stand/sit for several hours at a time.
