Octave is seeking a Next Generation Analysis Solution Design Intern for Summer 2026. This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with product owners on the modernization of industry‑leading stress analysis software, including Octave Aspect Pipe Stress (CAESAR II), Octave Aspect Pressure Vessel (PV Elite) and Octave Aspect Structure (GT STRUDL).
The intern will support the product development lifecycle by assisting with business requirements definition, stakeholder engagement, and market and technology research. This role provides hands‑on exposure to modern software product development within complex engineering domains.

- Assist in gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements to help define the vision for next‑generation analysis solutions
- Research new and existing technologies, market trends, and competitive offerings to support product feature development
- Participate in tactical backlog activities, including refinement and tracking of product improvements
- Interact with customers and the sales organization to help shape product direction and ensure alignment with market needs
- Collaborate closely with development and agile teams to review product designs, enhancements, and quality improvements
- Support product owners in ensuring product capabilities meet customer satisfaction and business objectives
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
- Proficiency or coursework experience in analyzing piping systems, structural systems, and/or pressure vessels
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Motivation to take on new challenges and contribute in a fast‑paced, learning‑oriented environment
