O’Connor Distributing is a family-owned organization committed to long term success by following a simple strategy: hire, train, and retain a growing team of hardworking Arkansans in communities across the state.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESBuild orders for dock routes per invoice in a timely and accurate manner.Load route trucks safely with proper palletization Perform daily inspection of assigned warehouse equipment and reports any deficiencies.Safely and properly handling shipments and replenishment of product.Move product by safely and responsibly operating material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, pallet jack, and floor scrubber, as needed.Perform cleaning and maintenance duties and reports any unsafe work area conditions.Assist with palletizing as requestedCommunicate with team leader regarding quality or operations issues that need attentionProcess, pack, and ship orders accuratelyMaintain inventory of products; restock as neededInspect products for damages; report as neededMaintain a clean and orderly warehouse environmentReceive and appropriately sort and store incoming productsPrepare products for shippingOther duties as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or its equivalent, preferredPrevious warehouse experience and/or training, preferredAbility to understand and follow verbal and written English instructionsDemonstrate good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and sound judgmentDemonstrate and exhibit high levels of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskBasic math skillsWork with a safety-first attitude.Self-motivated; customer-focusedExcellent relationship management and relational skillsDetail-oriented; prioritize important action items; problem solver, active listener, independent thinkerPhysical RequirementsCarrying and lifting of up to 65 pounds to perform various duties as assigned for extended periodsStanding for extended periods of time to perform various dutiesWalking for extended periods of time to perform various dutiesFrequent squatting and/or bending to perform various duties as assignedGENERAL STATEMENTA drug screen and background check is required.All productive applicants must share a commitment to O’Connor Distributing goals and an ability to succeed in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
