The Mortgage Loan Closer is a position that performs the duties for the mortgage loan closing from document preparation, funding, accounting to loan purchase.
The Closer is the back end support in the mortgage process. The Closer works closely with the Underwriter, attorneys, loan officers and investors during the loan closing and post loan closing process. The Closer prepares the closing disclosure and closing package within the required TRID timeframes and provides to the parties of the transaction as required.
Reviews the closed package for completeness in order to submit the loan for investor purchase and auditors for compliance auditing. The Closer will coordinate obtaining any conditions for closing or post closing review from the investors and tracks receipt of final recorded documents. The Closer also coordinates accounting duties associated with funding, receipt of first payments, loan fees from closings, loan purchases, costs to cure, etc.
