About The Team
Our Manufactured Products group offers several world-class global manufacturing facilities serving multiple industries including energy, material handling, and entertainment ride systems. We have decades of experience in engineering, design, testing and qualification of hardware for any specification, including subsea umbilicals, junction plates, distribution units, termination assemblies, clamps, flanges, and more. For the material handling industry, we produce safe, reliable, and flexible mobile robotics solutions. For the entertainment industry, we deliver innovative ride systems engineering and automated people mover vehicles.
The primary role of the Material Handler is to perform routine inventory, shipping & receiving functions and/or material handling under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a mobile computer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Prepare parcels and crates for outbound shipments.
- Verify inventory counts of stock items and notify supervisor of discrepancy.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Develop and/or provide support in the general area of Trade Compliance reporting, analysis and maintenance of master compliance data and system accuracy.
- Operate Material Handling equipment, including forklift operation, pallet jacks, and carts.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Aid other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
- Always maintains a safe, clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Must maintain a valid state issued driver’s license.
- Must be able to maintain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Primarily indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
- Frequently working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
- When outdoors, humidity is frequently above 90%
- Noise is over 85 decibels.
- Light is intense/glare.
- Occasional exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
- Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
