Ocean View Learning Center is growing! We are looking for a kind, dependable, and energetic teacher to lead a class of 3-4 year olds.
Ocean View Learning Center is a small Christian, play-based program located at Ocean View Baptist Church in Ocean Isle Beach. We believe young children learn best through play, relationships, hands-on experiences, creativity, exploration, and time spent with friends. Our days include plenty of indoor and outdoor play, along with stories, music, movement, art, sensory experiences, simple group activities, and weekly chapel.
We want a teacher who genuinely enjoys being with children, getting down on the floor to play, talking with them, noticing their interests, and helping them grow naturally through their experiences.
What You’ll Do
You will:
- Prepare the classroom before children arrive
- Welcome children and help them feel comfortable and included
- Supervise and actively engage with children during indoor and outdoor play
- Lead morning meeting, stories, music, movement, and simple hands-on activities
- Provide opportunities for art, sensory play, creativity, and exploration
- Help children learn to share, communicate, solve problems, and build friendships
- Support children during snack, bathroom breaks, transitions, and cleanup
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom
- Communicate positively with parents about their child’s day
- Participate in weekly chapel and support the Christian values of our program
We are looking for someone who is patient, playful, dependable, flexible, and confident leading a group of young children. Preschool experience is preferred, but finding someone who truly understands and values children is most important.
Schedule and Pay
Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 AM–1:00 PM
$15 per hour
50% Tuition Discount for Staff Children & Grandchildren
