Busy Primary Care Physician office looking for a trained Medical
Assistant with EPIC experience.
Office is closed on Wednesdays.
Primary Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
*Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, health history, update medications, complete screening questions, prepare chart
*Perform EKG/Spirometry, administer injections, and perform routine specimen collection and in office tests
*Prepare equipment, forms and examination rooms, and clean instruments
*Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
*Manage immunization reporting/inventory and management w RIDOH
*Calling patients with test results per physician advice
*Screening and attaching patient information from electronic fax box
*Completing patient forms such as TDI, FMLA, health forms.
*Completing RIDOH reporting and forms
In addition Medical Assistant will need to have ability to assist/cover at front desk:
*Receive, triage and direct phone calls/messages
*Schedule appointments, check-in and check-out patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
Qualifications for Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
