Job description:
Become part of our small concierge-style private practice delivering personalized healthcare focused on wellness and prevention. We are looking for a certified medical assistant who will play a role in providing high quality care and exceptional customer service and who will support the medical team in clinical and administrative tasks. Candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Primary Care.
Key Responsibilities:
Take vital signs . Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
Conduct annual wellness screenings (EKG, PFT, ABI, hearing and vision screen, health risk assessment etc).
Manage patient records, input information accurately into the electronic health record and strictly abide by HIPAA regulations at all times.
Schedule patient appointments, coordinate follow-up care, pre-chart and complete medication reconciliation prior to medical visits.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medication instructions and preventive care measures
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assistant program
Knowledge of medical terminology and most lab orders and medications used in a primary care setting
Proficiency in EPIC is preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
