Direct Support Professional - Johnston
In-Home Social & Safety Skills Program - (PASS)
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 2:15 to 6:30 p.m.
- $25.00 an hour -
The Position:
A PASS Direct Support Professional at Ocean State Behavioral will work in a client’s home and community to help them develop their safety and social skills and gain independence. You will use compassion and patience to help your with client better interact with the world around them more confidently and safely.
Implementing an individualized treatment and service plan that has been crafted by a professional therapist, you will work with your client while providing an example for the client's family in how to further reinforce lessons and behaviors while addressing a client’s needs in a healthy way.
This is a part-time position where you will be responsible for adhering to professional and legal requirements and demonstrating sound judgement while providing at least the minimum standard of care according to program standards and principles of "good practice."
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have at minimum a high school graduate or GED equivalent level of education.
- Have a valid Driver’s License, and legal personal vehicle with current registration, insurance, and inspection.
- Provide a clean & current BCI check from RI Attorney General's Office. (The agency will run a separate DCYF clearance check on its own.)
Job Duties:
- Work alongside an individual with special needs while demonstrating appropriate daily living, safety, and social skills following a clinical treatment plan provided by the agency.
- Traveling to your client's home or nearby community to to work alongside a client and their family.
- Writing accurate daily contact notes and keeping data collection on service plan goals.
- Providing weekly feedback to the agency on work with the client.

This position is part-time and looking for 12.75 hours a week.
