Join our global manufacturing team at Ocean Optics, where precision logistics and operational excellence support the delivery of cutting-edge optical solutions. As a Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, managing inventory systems, and supporting warehouse operations across multiple regions.

About The Opportunity
Join our global manufacturing team at Ocean Optics, where precision logistics and operational excellence support the delivery of cutting-edge optical solutions. As a Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, managing inventory systems, and supporting warehouse operations across multiple regions.
You Will
- Oversee shipping processes for high-value optical components and systems.
- Staging consolidated shipments, creating a complete manifest list
- Daily and Weekly consolidated shipment for international shipments.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Maintain inventory accuracy using ERP systems and logistics platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and secure delivery.
- Support warehouse operations including material handling, packaging, and stock replenishment.
- Prepare and process domestic and international shipments, including customs documentation and harmonization codes.
- Operate logistics software (e.g., D365) for inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and shipment scheduling.
- Coordinate freight carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL) and manage logistics timelines.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, ISO compliance, and regulatory reporting.
- Attention to detail is critical to ensure correct items and values are verified before shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate logistics issues and delays to department Manager and Customer Service.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
- 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (D365, Oracle, SAP), Microsoft Office, and logistics platforms.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and across global teams.
