Are you a retail leader who thrives on variety? We are currently looking for a strong, experienced Manager Assistant to act as the right hand to our Store Manager at the Ocean Mart in Roy, UT!
Ocean Mart is a fast-paced, highly diverse Asian supermarket. We are looking for someone who can seamlessly switch between high-level administrative work and in-the-trenches retail hustle.
The Reality of the Role
This is not a quiet desk job. Half of your day will be spent in the back office handling critical admin tasks, cash control, and data entry. The other half will be spent out on the floor—running registers, managing the team, handling vendor deliveries, and bagging groceries during our busy weekend rushes.
What You’ll Be Doing
🔹 Store Operations: Support the Store Manager, oversee daily operations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
🔹 Back-Office Admin: Manage data entry, employee scheduling, cash control, and organize physical paperwork with total accuracy.
🔹 Floor Leadership: Jump out of the office during peak hours to manage checkout lines, assist on the floor, and resolve escalated issues.
🔹 Inventory & Logistics: Assist with purchasing, vendor shipments, and inventory control (forklift experience is a major plus!).
What We Are Looking For
✅ 2 years of solid experience in retail management, grocery management, or a high-volume administrative role.
✅ Adaptability: You can drop a complex spreadsheet to instantly go clear a massive line of customers.
✅ Tech Savvy: High proficiency in data entry, scheduling software, and Microsoft/Google suites.
✅ Schedule: The grocery industry lives and dies on the weekends. Open availability for weekend shifts is required.
Compensation & The 30-Day Review
This position starts at $22.00/hour. Because we value performance and hard work, your first 30 days will serve as a mutual trial period. If you step up, own the back office, and crush it on the floor during your first month, we will sit down for a 30-Day Review to immediately renegotiate and adjust your salary upwards.
