Job Summary
Seeking an efficient multi-purpose Prep Person/Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position will also involve routine cleaning assignments and aiding with kitchen prep. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team.
- Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all necessary items are clean and ready for service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during peak hours.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.
- Aid in putting away and organizing deliveries.
- Perform all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience in bussing tables and providing food service support is a plus.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is a preferred.
- Previous experience in a high volume restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in a food service setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver products, frequently weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to maintain a clean and neat appearance with good hygiene.
