What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Washer / Detail Tech position at OCDetailers?
We’re Hiring: Boat Washer / Detail Technician Lake of the Ozarks | Entry-Level | Hands-On Position
Love boats? Like working outside? Don’t mind getting a little wet (and a little dirty) in the name of making things look awesome? OCDetailers is looking for a hardworking, detail-minded Boat Washer / Detail Technician to join our crew. You’ll be the first step in transforming boats from grimy to glorious.
If you’re reliable, physically active, and enjoy working with your hands—and around some seriously sweet boats and cars—this is your launch point into the world of high-end marine and auto detailing.
✅ What You’ll Be Doing:
- Wash and clean boats (interior exterior) to remove grime, scum, bugs, and scum lines from hulls, decks, and consoles
- Use pressure washers, foam cannons, brushes, and marine-safe cleaners
- Keep a friendly, positive and approachable attitude and answer Client questions to the best of your ability
- Help maintain a clean and organized job area
- Assist with moving supplies, tools, and equipment to/from job sites
- Keep an eye out for damage, wear, or problem areas and report to the team
- Occasionally help wash cars, trucks, and side-by-sides too—we mix it up around here!
✅ What You Bring:
- A solid work ethic—you show up on time and ready to grind
- A positive, team-player attitude (no egos, no excuses)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather
- Attention to detail—even the little stuff matters here
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and learn quickly
- Physically able to bend, lift, scrub, and stand for long periods
- Respect for client property—you treat every boat like it’s your own
No Experience? No Problem.
We’ll train you up the right way. This is an awesome entry point into the detailing world, with opportunities to move up into ceramic coating, PPF, or even leadership roles if you’re hungry for it.
