YARD DRIVER – CLASS A CDL

• Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles to move trailers, containers, and equipment throughout the yard.
• Position trailers accurately at loading docks, staging areas, and designated parking locations.
• Perform trailer moves and yard checks while following company safety procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical or safety issues promptly.
• Connect and disconnect trailers, including proper use of fifth-wheel and air connections.
• Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and dispatch teams to ensure efficient trailer movement.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer locations, moves, and required documentation.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and yard safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and help prevent damage to trailers, equipment, and facilities.
• Communicate professionally with drivers, supervisors, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety and accuracy.
• Perform backing and maneuvering of trailers in tight spaces and congested yard conditions.
• Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and general yard operations as needed.
