- Assist the Facility Manager in the overall operation of the fitness facility. Assist with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
- Perform regular walk throughs to monitor the condition of rooms, equipment, and patron activity, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are maintained. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users.
- Assist with the promotion of fitness programs and special events. Provide support for event setup and tear down as needed. Circulates among patrons to assure service satisfactory: provides information and general instructions.
- Assist with monthly inventory checks and monitor the condition of fitness equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly. Interact professionally with patrons, address inquiries, and ensure a positive experience.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect fitness areas, including moving equipment, machines, floors, restrooms, break room, and administrative office to promote a hygienic environment.. Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR215-3, chapter 2, is required. Incumbent requires completion of a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for access to federally controlled facilities.
- Possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR Orientation Course and Customer Service.
- Become CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 6 months
- Facility hours are usually Monday through Friday: 0800-1800 Saturday and Sunday: 24/7. Shift may change based on needs of the facility. Subject to an irregular tour of duty including early mornings and evenings, weekends and holidays.
