Duties

  • Serves as the Operations Support Specialist to the FMWR Director and senior leadership.
  • Exercises independent judgment and skill in applying support services assisting leadership with planning, reports/briefings, strategy, special projects, and rosters, reviews plans, programs, and regulations pertaining to personnel, administration.
  • Prepares and reviews correspondence briefings and charts; manages meetings and maintaining calendars for the Director.
  • Oversees, coordinates, and performs the service, supply and procurement functions for the office and maintains knowledge of internal resources to mitigate and/or report disruption of service/support.
  • Provides administrative and logistical support and overall office management for the supervisor and/or staff in connection with the accomplishment of assigned functions.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following

  • Knowledge of management principles, practices, and techniques to provide support services to the organization, analyze administrative/support practices, and recommend improvements to procedures and policies.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, including comprehensive knowledge of standard office software programs, such as word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.

Highly Preferred Qualification

Comprehensive knowledge and skills using Power Point, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

Area of Consideration

  • This job is open to candidates in the LOCAL Fort Riley commuting area. Local commuting area is defined as a 50-mile radius of Fort Riley.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
