This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). There is no substitution of education for experience.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Prepares drawings for a variety of military and civil works projects to include buildings, structures, and environmental restoration projects.
- Provides construction surveillance technical expertise for daily operations or impromptu meetings.
- Creates and maintains electronic and hard copy project files to record all construction-related documentation.
- Responsible for the execution of required contract documents to initiate the acquisition process.
- Works as a member of the project delivery team under the supervision of the Chief of Engineering Services.
Conditions of employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
- Travel will include and not be limited to construction and proposed project sites where data collection will be exposed to the elements. Travel will be less than 5%.
- Must obtain a Type A COR certification with 120 days of employment and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually.
- This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
