Oberlin Filter is currently looking to hire an Electrical Prep Technician to join our team. Please see below for more information about the position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Using the electrical schematics, drawings, and shop documents the Electrical Technician installs conduit and/or raceway, running wires from the electrical panel to various components.
- Mechanical assembly is required in the process of doing the electrical assembly.
- Requires the ability to operate basic hand tools and electrical measuring devices.
- Must be focused on and capable of meeting daily goals for production
- Meet critical ship window to assure company production goals are met.
- Flexible hours as required
- As an employee progresses, help the Checkout Technicians.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires the ability to learn and retain the knowledge to work with high voltage equipment.
- Requires general computer skills and understanding
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical School degree with an emphasis in electrical components is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Technical drawing reading and electrical schematics with specification comprehension. Ability to effectively communicate in English with all levels of the organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- None required but electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, programmable controller and/or welding certifications are helpful.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
