Since 2016, our high-protein, drinkable oatmeal has reached over a million customers through direct-to-consumer, and we’re now scaling with all major nationwide retail and club partners. We are vertically integrated: we develop, manufacture, and fulfill everything in-house. This operational control allows us to engage customers directly into the R&D process, an initiative where we were first-to-market in CPG. What’s The Job?
The Vice President of Manufacturing Operations will hold executive leadership and oversight for all strategic and tactical functions across Production, Fulfillment, Warehousing and Distribution, and Maintenance. This individual will design, lead, and execute operational strategies that strengthen infrastructure, ensure excellence across departments, and support sustainable growth.

The VP of Manufacturing Operations establishes and maintains company-wide operational objectives, policies, programs, and practices to ensure the company continues to operate with a sound, scalable, and efficient business foundation. This role partners closely with the COO and the leadership team to drive strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and company-wide efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part
  • Partner with the COO and leadership team to develop and assess organizational performance against annual budgets and long-term strategies.
  • Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, the operating model, and execution of operations.
  • Formulate short- and long-term operational objectives in key areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, and new product integration — ensuring alignment with company vision.
  • Lead initiatives that drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost efficiency, and product quality.
  • Develop and enhance tools and systems that provide key operational insights and actionable recommendations to improve performance.
  • Oversee plant resources to optimize profitability and improve utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to implement and enforce safety guidelines, SOPs, and OSHA compliance, fostering a proactive and safe workplace.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and growth opportunities to direct reports and department teams, promoting accountability and professional development.
  • Ensure that all operations maintain compliance with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements including food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Production, Fulfillment, and Maintenance leadership to drive alignment and ensure operational goals are achieved.
  • Lead strategic planning for staffing, capacity, equipment maintenance, and preventative programs to ensure consistent performance and readiness.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage cost of goods sold (COGS), identify cost reduction opportunities, and support margin improvement.
  • Build and foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and excellence throughout the operations organization.
  • All other duties as assigned.
What You’ve Done And Who You Are
  • 10 years of progressive experience in operations leadership within manufacturing or CPG environments.
  • Proven track record of leading large, cross-functional teams with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with SQF, GMP, and HACCP processes required; experience in a SQF Level 3 facility preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Experience with ERP and manufacturing systems; able to analyze and interpret operational data to drive business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in improving performance across safety, quality, service, and cost metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance tactical execution.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with a relentless drive to get things done.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to work near food ingredients, with potential exposure to allergens.
  • Must be able to lift 15–25 pounds occasionally.
  • Work environment: air-conditioned manufacturing and warehouse settings, with frequent walking between production areas and offices.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to safely and successfully perform all essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards.
  • Must maintain regular, punctual attendance.
