What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part
- Conduct technical inspections of equipment and perform required corrective actions.
- Required to perform troubleshooting to identify equipment failures
- Routinely report on the status of the equipment to the shift maintenance lead and maintenance manager
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of the production equipment
- Have an ability to identify basic electrical issues and perform basic repairs
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and preventative activities in a CMMS system
- Communicate when replacement parts are needed
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptly
- Diagnose problems, analyze root causes, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements
- Ensure compliance with safety and food safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities
- Identify and address potential hazards or unsafe conditions promptly
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate and work within a group setting in the maintenance department
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ve Done and Who You Are
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus
- 4 years’ experience as a maintenance or facilities technician, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
- 2 or more years of food manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to make decisions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Have a working knowledge of at least two of the following: Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Electricity, Automated Equipment
- Able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, mechanical diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Familiar with automated electrical systems, HMI’s, PLC’s
- Understanding electric motors, starters, switches, photocells, etc.
- Familiarity with CMMS work order systems
- Ability to write parts requests, complete work orders and write corrective work orders
- Experience with preventive maintenance
- Food manufacturing background with an understanding of FDA requirements
- Ability to always follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Computer literacy
- Must be able to read and write English
- PLC skills a plus

Physical Demands
- Lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects weighing up to 80 lbs. each, assistance available if needed
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs.
- Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching
- Standing for an extended periods of time
- Able to work under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to work near food ingredients, exposure to food allergens
- Location: inside an air-conditioned manufacturing and warehouse environment
- You must be able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
