Position Summary:

Oath is seeking a dependable and proactive Production Operator to assist in the day-to-day manufacturing of microbial-based products using solid-state fermentation methods. This position supports the biological manufacturing team by executing routine production tasks, maintaining sterile workflow, and ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate has some microbiology or biomanufacturing experience and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform core production tasks such as mixing substrates, loading fermentation containers, inoculating materials, and operating sterilization equipment.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and aseptic techniques to minimize contamination.
• Assist in upstream and downstream processes, including material prep, incubation monitoring, harvesting, and drying.
• Support daily sanitation of production areas and equipment to maintain GMP-like cleanliness standards.
• Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and process checklists.
• Work closely with the Lead Biological Manufacturing Associate to meet daily and weekly production goals.
• Report deviations, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly.
• Help with inventory restocking and receiving raw materials and supplies.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or relevant technical training in microbiology, biotechnology, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, fermentation, or laboratory production environment.
• Basic knowledge of microbiological handling and sterilization principles.
• Comfort working in a physically active role (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long hours).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow protocols and safety standards consistently.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
