Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and credentialed Financial Planner / Wealth Advisor to join our growing team at our fee-only RIA firm. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys leading client relationships, and is passionate about delivering comprehensive financial planning that integrates tax strategy, investment management, risk mitigation, and life planning. This is not a sales position but rather a consultative position. This is a hybrid position that will serve and meet clients virtually as well as in person. Because of the necessity for some on-site presence and regional familiarity, candidates are required to be located in Nashville, Atlanta, or Tampa or willing to relocate to one of those areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead advisor for a select group of client relationships, delivering proactive, personalized financial advice.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, including:
Tax planning and optimization strategies
Investment management aligned with client goals and risk tolerance
Risk management including insurance analysis and estate planning coordination
Estate planning to ensure proper documents and beneficiaries are in place while collaborating with outside counsel
Life planning to help clients align their finances with their values and aspirations
- Collaborate with internal team members and external professionals (CPAs, attorneys, etc.) to ensure seamless client service.
- Stay current on financial planning best practices, tax law changes, and market trends.
- Contribute to firm growth through thought leadership, mentoring junior team members, and enhancing internal processes.
Qualifications
- CFP® certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a client-facing financial planning role
- Proven ability to lead and deepen client relationships with a high level of empathy and professionalism
- Additional credentials such as CPA, EA, CFA, or CIMA are highly valued
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, RightCapital), CRM systems, and portfolio management tools
- A growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning
