Job Description (PCA)
- Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
- Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications like HIPAA compliance are advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility aids safely.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and care plans adherence.
- Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills to foster trust and rapport with clients and team members.
PCA Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe their health status to report changes or concerns promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in accordance with facility protocols.
- Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through dedicated memory care techniques and behavioral support strategies.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
