What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift OMF Quality Auditor position at Oakwood Group?
Summary:
Support production by assisting with decisions regarding the quality of parts being produced. Provide production with the necessary tools (gages, work instructions, sample parts, etc.) to perform all quality functions. Ensure that the first piece off (FPO) and process checks are performed to help mitigate potential scrap.
Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):
- Provide support to production by ensuring that the first piece off (FPO) is completed and valid at the beginning of each shift and/or job change
- Promote awareness of current/historical customer concerns with the production team
- Confirm that hourly process checks are performed, and appropriate reactions are taken
- Review/reconcile work cell fault boxes at the completion of run and/or shift
- Initiate or assist in facilitating containment activities when required
- Support ongoing containment activities as required
- Understand and promote customer acceptance criteria to the production team
- Lead/support new product containment activities
- Publish daily shift reports to the distribution list
- Assist in daily MRB activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of quality experience preferred
- Must be able to work and communicate within a team
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to operate most common software applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) proficiently
- Must be able to perform all physical duties of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must pass basic quality control competency test with a minimum score of 83%
