Build your mortgage business with Oaktree Direct, the retail lending division of Oaktree Funding, an established lender whose history dates to 1989. Based at our Chandler, Arizona headquarters, this role combines company-provided borrower opportunities, opportunities to build your own referral relationships and nearby processing, underwriting and leadership support.
Company opportunities and relationships you develop
Work company-generated borrower inquiries through prompt outreach, thoughtful discovery and consistent follow-up. Some people may be ready to speak or complete an application; others require further contact and qualification. A submitted inquiry does not establish credit eligibility, readiness to proceed or a live warm handoff.
You do not need to bring an existing book of business to join this Inside Loan Officer team. Your primary focus is converting company-provided borrower opportunities. Developing your own Realtor, community and client relationships is an optional growth opportunity. You take the application, structure the loan and remain engaged through funding.
This role rewards proactive phone work, CRM discipline and consistent borrower follow-through. It is not a continuous stream of incoming rate inquiries, and lead volume, contact rates and conversion are not guaranteed.
Support close to the work
Work alongside dedicated processing and underwriting colleagues, with access to experienced leadership for training, loan structure and operational questions. You own the borrower relationship and stay involved through closing, while dedicated processors handle processing.
What you’ll do
Bring strong phone communication, sound judgment, curiosity and disciplined follow-through. Mortgage origination and purchase-lending experience are valuable; consumer-direct experience can also be a strong foundation when paired with proactive lead conversion and ownership of the borrower experience. An existing book or willingness to build a referral network is not required for this Inside role.
We also consider exceptional sales professionals beginning a mortgage career who demonstrate coachability and the ability to build trust. Selected development hires receive company support for licensing; required licensing must be completed before performing activities that require it.

This role offers a guaranteed base salary plus graduated commissions on funded production. Company opportunities support your pipeline and commission income, with optional referral development as another avenue for growth. Higher rates apply to the portion of monthly funded volume within the applicable higher tiers.
Specific compensation terms, applicable limits, licensing support and benefits will be discussed during the interview process. A different arrangement for established self-generated producers may be available by agreement. Actual earnings depend on funded production and the written plan; lead volume, conversion and income are not guaranteed.
