As the Access Center Coordinator, you will help to oversee our Admissions team who help to enroll individuals into one of our many clinical mental health or substance use treatment programs. Our programs service adults, children, and families. Your role will be essential to our success, and your efforts will influence our ability to provide treatment to our community.
Schedule: Full-time; 40 hours; Mon-Fri, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours); telephonic on-call for staff and program needs
Salary: $55,000/year
Competencies:
Leadership experience; Ability to lead a team of staff providing access and linkage to mental health and addictions services; Ability to work with mental health/substance use population; Must have the ability to screen and manage situations that involve callers experiencing psychiatric emergencies including suicidal ideation and individuals who are threatening to harm self or others; Ability to provide Person Centered, Family-Centered, and Trauma-Informed Care; Understanding and commitment to supporting recovery and resiliency; Ability to assess and interpret information related to population; Knowledge of the symptoms of the disability/disorder and ability to recognize exacerbation of symptoms; Knowledge of available treatment resources and appropriate use; Understanding of Care Coordination
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Access Team and coordinating activities of the Access Center;
- Ensures phone and walk-in screenings are thorough and completed;
- Ensures documentation of initial triage screenings for consumers are thorough and completed;
- Ensure documentation compliance for the Access Team in the electronic clinical record; Ensures consumers are connected to programs as identified by program requirements, or appropriately referred if program requirements are not met;
- Collaborate with clinical team;
- Coordinate, as needed, with the Care Management Team;
- Perform community outreach to develop referral relationships;
- Form relationships with programs and services in the community;
- Participate in agency events, trainings and community events;
- Review and complete program reports, as required
- Collect intake data and monitor for compliance with funding, licensing and regulatory source standards;
- Provide Individual supervision to direct reports
- Participate in regularly scheduled individual supervision and team meetings; and,
- Other task as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field;
- Preliminary Clinical License in the state of NJ preferred (LSW, LAC) preferred;
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders;
- Supervisory or management experience preferred;
- Valid Driver's License in good standing required.
