Craft Cocktail Bartender

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Craft Cocktail Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate is a specialist in mixology, adept at both executing classic recipes with precision and developing innovative new drinks. This role goes beyond simple pouring; it requires an expert knowledge of spirits, advanced techniques, and the ability to provide a high-end, bespoke guest experience in an upscale environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Mixology Expertise: Prepare a wide array of hand-crafted cocktails using proper techniques (e.g., shaking, stirring, muddling, precise measuring) for consistent execution and presentation.
• Menu Development: Contribute to the curation of the beverage menu, potentially developing seasonal or signature cocktails that align with our brand.
• Spirit Knowledge: Be able to learn our spirits and educate guests on different profiles.
• Exceptional Guest Service: Engage warmly with patrons, assess their preferences, and make personalized, confident recommendations to enhance their experience and encourage premium spirit selection (upselling).
• Bar Operations: Manage inventory, restock the bar efficiently, and ensure all ingredients (including house-made syrups, tinctures, and fresh garnishes) are prepared and maintained.
• Quality & Consistency: Ensure every drink meets the highest standards of taste, balance, and visual presentation, paying extreme attention to detail in glassware and garnish.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to all state and local laws regarding alcohol service, including age verification and responsible consumption monitoring.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Experience is a bonus but if you have a winning personality and can be taught as well as come with the right attitude we will teach you.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with regular clientele and maintain confidentiality.
• Composure Under Pressure: The ability to multitask effectively and maintain precision and a calm, professional demeanor during busy service periods.
• Certifications: TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification is required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Must be at least 21
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to work well with others

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of craft cocktails, ensuring each drink meets quality standards and presentation expectations
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend signature drinks or popular selections
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, tools, and ingredients
• Manage POS system to process orders accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash transactions, cash handling, and cashiering responsibilities with integrity and accuracy
• Adhere to food safety and food handling protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during high-volume periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; restock as needed while minimizing waste
• Uphold responsible alcohol service practices in compliance with licensing laws and company policies
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by creating a welcoming atmosphere and resolving guest inquiries promptly

Skills

• Proficiency with POS system; basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
• Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage presentation standards a bonus
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
• Exceptional customer service abilities with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced hospitality settings while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous restaurant experience or retail math knowledge to support accurate cash handling and sales processing
• Knowledge of distilling techniques or beverage industry trends is a plus but not required
