Director of Talent Acquisition (MEP)
Location: New York or Chicago (Hybrid - 4 days in office)
Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer
Compensation: $170k - $180k base
We are partnering with a global engineering and consulting organization to appoint a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and evolve their US recruitment function. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping talent acquisition strategy, building high-performing teams, and ensuring the business attracts top-tier talent to support continued growth.
This individual will operate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving workforce planning, enhancing employer brand, and embedding best-in-class recruiting processes across experienced hires and early career programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the talent acquisition strategy aligned to business growth and workforce planning
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing TA team across regions
- Partner with executive leadership to forecast hiring demand and build proactive pipelines
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment delivery, ensuring efficiency and strong candidate experience
- Implement innovative sourcing strategies across direct sourcing, referrals, and digital channels
- Optimize ATS, recruitment technology, and data analytics to drive decision-making
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and hiring managers
- Embed DEI principles across hiring practices and drive diverse hiring outcomes
- Strengthen employer branding and EVP initiatives
- Define and track recruitment KPIs, providing insights to leadership
Requirements
- 12 years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including leadership roles
- Experience recruiting within engineering, consulting, or related technical environments
- Proven track record building and scaling talent acquisition functions
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience leveraging recruitment technology and analytics
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capability
Salary : $170,000 - $190,000
