OakLeaf Clinics - Foot & Ankle has an exciting opportunity to work alongside our foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Andrea Cifaldi as a part-time Clinical Assistant (CMA, CNA, or MA) working 16 hours per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Dr. Cifaldi, an Eau Claire native, completed her fellowship training at a nationally recognized top reconstructive foot and ankle surgery program and is excited to bring her expertise to the Chippewa Valley. She offers surgical and non-surgical options for many foot and ankle ailments and will work with you to determine the best treatment plan. Outside of patient care, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick, and their young children.

Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.
Position description
As a Clinical Assistant, your duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with completing medication reconciliation and administering medications including injections, scheduling appointments, completing required prior authorization paperwork, assisting providers with their day-to-day clinical practice, and completing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing or medical assistant care under supervision or scope of licensure for clinic patients
- Facilitate/perform the gathering of patient information and document accordingly
- Assist with office procedures as directed
- Assist with the preparation of equipment and aid clinician during treatment, examination and testing of patients
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Instruct patients and families by phone as directed within scope of licensure or certification
- Greet patients and prepare them for clinician examination
- Screen patients for appropriate information
- Maintains timely flow of patients and complete forms as needed
- Adhere to best practices to ensure reliable measurements and enhance patient care (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height & weight)
- Adhere to best practices for administering medication to ensure patient safety, accuracy, and compliance with legal and professional standards under supervision of a provider, RN or LPN
- Successful completion the Web-based Vaccine trainings and Skills Checklist for Vaccine Administration annually.
- Responsible for preparation of exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Work a flexible schedule within the clinic or department hours based on clinical demand or need
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, preferred
- OR
- Two years of Medical Assistant experience in clinic setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient care notes
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Detail oriented and accurate
- Passionate about providing patient-focused care
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Prior Epic experience preferred
