What You’ll Do
Open Access Specialist will:
Open Access Specialist will:
- Complete the point-of-entry in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record)
- Orient clients to Oaklawn services and the intake process
- Assist in the screening and admission of clients to the appropriate Oaklawn program(s), helping with appropriate community referrals when needed.
- Act as the initial contact for many clients seeking services at the Access Center by person and occasionally by phone.
The Open Access Specialist has daily contact with clients and families as well as professionals and referral agencies. The specialist gathers information and communicates it to the appropriate clinician or department assisting in client access to services within our Open Access Clinics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field preferred. One year experience preferred with Bachelor degree.
- Without Bachelor degree, experience to equate to 4 years of combined education and experience in a mental health, social services or other healthcare or related setting required.
