Job Description ABOUT OUMS: OUMS is a small, safe, supportive middle school located in the heart of Deep East Oakland, California. QUALIFICATIONS -Hold a Valid California Teaching Credential, or -Be enrolled in a teaching intern program -Have the passion and commitment to work with low-income, inner-city youth to help them become first-generation college-goers -Want to be part of a small school community where everyone on campus feels responsible for the success of all students. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS -Full Salary Scale linked here -Full health benefits (medical, dental and vision) with no employee contribution for the employee and qualifying dependents -Credentialed teachers enrolled in the California State Teachers Retirement System (CALSTRS) -Option of 403B enrollment 3% matched 457(b) retirement saving contribution after three years of employment -Relocation assistance of up to $2,000 Start date: August 1, 2026.
