Duties and Responsibilities:.
Team Support & Leadership
- Assist in supervising Cultivation Associates and Leads in daily activities including watering, pruning, transplanting, IPM, and sanitation.
- Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to ensure consistent work quality and team development.
- Model professional behavior and foster a culture of accountability, communication, and mutual respect.
- Help with team scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
- Support the onboarding of new team members and assist with annual evaluations.
- Serve as acting manager in the absence of the Cultivation Manager.
Cultivation Operations
- Execute and monitor all plant care activities: cloning, transplanting, nutrient feeding, pruning, pest management, defoliation, and harvesting.
- Maintain and monitor environmental controls (lighting, irrigation, HVAC, CO2 systems).
- Report equipment or environmental issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance and facilities as directed.
- Track cultivation tasks to ensure adherence to production goals and timelines.
- Support crop planning and cycle transitions to ensure smooth workflow between vegetative and flowering rooms.
Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Accurately document all activities in the seed-to-sale tracking system (e.g., MJ Freeway) in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintain daily logs for plant movement, waste, IPM, and environmental readings.
- Ensure workspaces remain clean, organized, and compliant at all times.
- Assist in audit preparation and inspection readiness.
Continuous Improvement & Performance
- Support the development and implementation of cultivation best practices.
- Participate in safety programs and ensure team adherence to PPE, sanitation, and hazard communication standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and share feedback with the Cultivation Manager.
- Track and help meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to plant health, yield, and compliance.
