General Summary
Are you ready to take on a leadership role managing large, complex renovation and construction projects that shape the future of Oakland County? As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll oversee everything from pre-project efforts, design to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, in compliance with governing codes, meeting the County’s policies and standards, and to the highest performance expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead major renovation and new construction projects, including pre-project, design, engineering, scheduling, budgeting, implementation and close-out.
- Serve as the department’s representative with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and County departments.
- Construction administration, document, and report on construction progress while providing solutions to issues.
- Prepare cost estimates, funding requests, drawings, specifications, bid documents, recommendations, reporting, and presentations.
- Manage bidding, awarding of contracts, and project-related purchases.
- Use Countywide and department-specific software to manage projects effectively.
