Position Profile
The Elementary Physical Education (PE) Teacher will lead students in grades K–5 in age-appropriate physical education lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and personal health. This individual will be responsible for creating a safe, fun, and developmentally sound learning environment that supports the school’s mission and Christian values.
General Responsibilities
● Develop and implement a Christ-centered PE curriculum for students in grades K–5.
● Teach students fundamental motor skills, sportsmanship, fitness concepts, and teamwork.
● Integrate biblical principles and Christian character education into daily instruction.
● Create lesson plans that align with state standards and the school’s philosophy.
● Organize and supervise physical activities, games, and events such as Field Day.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized gymnasium and storage areas.
● Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
● Monitor and assess student progress; maintain accurate records and report cards.
● Communicate regularly with parents through conferences, reports, and informal means.
● Participate in school-wide activities, devotions, chapel services, and staff meetings.
● Uphold and model a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in word and deed.

Qualifications
Spiritual:

Professional:
● Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (required).
● Teaching certification in Physical Education (required).
● Previous experience working with elementary-aged children.
● CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

● Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
● Enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about student wellness and faith development.
● A heart for ministry through education and the ability to serve as a role model.
Salary : $40,000 - $50,000
