Position Overview
Oakfire Club is seeking a versatile, hospitality-driven team member to support our Executive Chef with both culinary execution and elevated member service across our Speakeasy and club events/experiences.
This is not a traditional back-of-house role. The position is designed for someone who is equally comfortable in the kitchen, behind the bar, and engaging with members.
The ideal candidate is polished, adaptable, and energized by working across multiple facets of a high-end, member-focused environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute daily prep and assist Chef with prep, cooking, plating, and service execution
- Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and prep systems at a high standard
- Support curated tasting experiences, events, and specialty dining moments
- Step into front-of-house roles as needed, including:
- Food running and guest interaction
- Assisting with service flow during speakeasy nights
- Bar backing and supporting cocktail execution
- Assist with basic mixology and beverage service (training provided where needed)
- Contribute to a seamless, high-touch member experience across all touchpoints
- Support event setup, breakdown, and overall operational flow
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong hospitality instinct — enjoys interacting with members, not just working behind the scenes
- Comfortable moving between kitchen, bar, and service roles throughout a shift
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Calm, composed, and efficient in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
- Positive, team-first mindset with a willingness to step in wherever needed
- Polished, professional presence aligned with a private club atmosphere
- Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, and events required)
- Reliable transportation required
Preferred Experience
- 2 years in a restaurant, private club, or boutique hospitality environment
- Experience in both kitchen prep and front-of-house service
- Exposure to bartending, craft cocktails, or bar operations
- Interest in food & beverage pairing and culinary experimentation
- Experience in tasting menus, chef-driven concepts, or elevated service environments is a strong plus
Position Context
You will work directly alongside our GM and Executive Chef, who have trained at some of the finest restaurants worldwide, and who demand a highly refined, detail-oriented culinary approach. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop across both culinary and service disciplines within a growing, high-end private club environment.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
