Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Oakdale, CA, for an Orthopedic Veterinarian. The Orthopedic Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal issues in animals, performing orthopedic surgeries, and developing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with fellow veterinary professionals, conducting follow-up care, and educating pet owners on prevention and care practices. The role also involves staying updated on advancements in veterinary medicine to ensure the highest standard of care.
Qualifications
- Expertise in orthopedic veterinary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures
- Proficiency in post-operative care planning and patient recovery management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client education and collaboration with the veterinary team
- Commitment to staying informed about advancements in veterinary orthopedic practices
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school and valid veterinary license in California
- Previous experience in orthopedic veterinary practice is highly preferred
