What You'll Do
As a Commercial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving commercial properties through a variety of hands-on tasks, including:
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues
- Maintain and repair building automation and commercial equipment systems
- Complete service requests efficiently and professionally
- Prepare commercial suites for new tenants, including repairs, lighting, and system inspections
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional property exteriors and common areas
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation (approximately one week every 10 weeks)
- Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with company standards
What We're Looking For
- Commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
- Experience working with commercial HVAC equipment and building automation systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet Oakbrook's driving requirements
