Job Summary:
Oak View Law Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Bankruptcy Lawyer to represent individuals and businesses in bankruptcy matters. This full-time role involves managing client cases from consultation through resolution while ensuring compliance with federal and state bankruptcy laws. The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in consumer and/or business bankruptcy.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases
Conduct client consultations and assess financial situations
Prepare, review, and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and pleadings
Appear at 341 meetings, hearings, and court proceedings
Communicate with trustees, creditors, and court personnel
Provide legal advice on debt relief, asset protection, and repayment plans
Maintain accurate case files and documentation
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local bankruptcy regulations
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active California State Bar license in good standing
2 years of bankruptcy law experience preferred
Strong knowledge of federal bankruptcy laws and procedures
Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
Strong client communication and case management abilities
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
