Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible assistant to our full time cook. Because this position is in a child care program, the right person will need to be enrolled in the Central Background Registry for child care workers
Responsibilities
- Help to prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to food handling and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the laundry and kitchen area used for food preparation.
- Wash dishes.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's food needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.
- Skills in food service, kitchen management, culinary arts, or hospitality are advantageous.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and meal preparation techniques is beneficial.
- A passion for working with children and contributing to their well-being is essential.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both children and parents.
