POSITION OVERVIEW
A prestigious private equestrian estate in Wellington, Florida is seeking a motivated and resourceful Housekeeper/Household Assistant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, high-standard household and is eager to step into a newly created role that reports to the Household Manager.
The position begins immediately on a part-time basis and transitions to full-time in January 2027 through April 2027. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in an environment where the family is accustomed to a high level of household support.
EMPLOYMENT STRUCTURE
Now through December 2026 — Part-Time / Pre-Season
- Occasional cleaning and organizing of a main residence and 3 guest houses (all within estate property)
- Flexible scheduling
- Opportunity to learn the property, preferences, and routines before the busy season
January – April 2027 — Full-Time / In-Season
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Daily housekeeping of the main residence
- Rotating housekeeping across 5 guest houses on the property including full-change overs with guest schedule
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Housekeeping & Cleaning
- Perform daily cleaning of the main house including common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens
- Maintain guest houses on a rotating schedule as occupancy and needs dictate
- Develop and execute a regular deep-cleaning project schedule across all residences
- Create and maintain a daily cleaning task checklist tailored to each house
- Organize and maintain household supplies, linens, and cleaning inventory
- Identify areas of improvement and proactively address cleaning and organizational needs without being asked
Household Assistance
- Light meal preparation and kitchen assistance as needed
- Grocery shopping, including managing lists and stocking household essentials
- Running simple errands on behalf of the family
- Supporting the household team with day-to-day tasks as they arise
IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities
- Experienced in maintaining high-end or luxury residential properties
- Skilled at developing their own cleaning schedules, deep-cleaning projects, and organizational systems
- Professional, discreet, and respectful of family privacy
- Flexible and adaptable — no two days are exactly the same during season
- Positive, team-oriented, and eager to be a valued part of a household that relies on strong support
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver's license — required for errands, grocery shopping, and property navigation
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check — required prior to hire
- Prior housekeeping experience in a private residence, estate, or hospitality setting strongly preferred
- Experience managing multiple residences or guest houses is a plus
- Availability to begin immediately in a part-time capacity
- Availability for full-time, flexible scheduling January through April 2027
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
