ORAU is seeking qualified candidates on behalf of a partner organization for a Senior Process Engineer role. The selected candidate will be employed by ORAU's partner and will perform work onsite at the Fluor Corporation.
The Senior Process Engineer will play a key role in ensuring process efficiency, operational reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of prject execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in process engineering principles, excellent analytical and probelm-solving abilities, and experience supporting large capital or EPC projects in industries such as chemicals, manufacturing, energy, life sciences, or industrial processing.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate process / mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team / design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup
- Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to Piping and Instrumentation
- Diagram (P&ID) development
- Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems and equipment design
- Generate and review the accuracy of design / evaluation calculations, and specifications.
- Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
- Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
