Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, passionate Lead Teacher to guide a multi-age Montessori classroom. The Lead Teacher is the primary classroom guide, responsible for delivering an individualized, child-centered Montessori experience and fostering each student's academic and social-emotional development. This is a full-time, 10-month position. Salary Range: $50,000- $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials. Key Responsibilities Design, deliver, and assess individualized Montessori lessons aligned with the three-year curriculum cycle Observe, document, and track each child's developmental progress Maintain a prepared, organized, and inviting Montessori environment Build strong, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues Conduct parent-teacher conferences and maintain ongoing family communication Collaborate with assistant teachers and specialist staff Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings Contribute to the outdoor and nature curriculum Qualifications AMI or AMS Montessori certification (required); level appropriate to classroom Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of lead classroom experience in a Montessori setting Strong understanding of child development and Montessori philosophy Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills MA educator licensure or willingness to obtain preferred CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Benefits Competitive salary with annual review Health insurance contribution Professional development and continuing Montessori education support Collaborative, supportive school community Beautiful campus with year-round nature programming To Apply Please submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references to [hiring contact / email].
