Recreation Assistant (Full-Time) – $17–$20/hour
Location: Oak Knoll Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

Position Summary:
The Recreation Assistant will work under the direction of the Director of Recreation to plan, organize, and deliver quality activity programs for our residents. These programs support our patients’ recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social well-being in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Pay Rate:
$17–$20/hour, based on experience
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience working with geriatric populations preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to make sound, independent decisions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow policies and procedures, including confidentiality and compliance standards
Must be dependable with regular attendance
Comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary care team
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push/pull, walk, and stand during shift
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and implementing diverse activity programs (entertainment, exercise, education, relaxation, etc.)
Escort residents to and from group or individual activities
Make regular in-room visits to residents who are unable or unwilling to attend group activities
Accurately document resident participation and progress
Foster a warm, welcoming environment through excellent customer service
Assist with evacuation procedures during emergencies
