Gilead Community Services is seeking a skilled and recovery-oriented outpatient clinician to join our multi-disciplinary program staff.

About the position:

The Outpatient Clinician for Gilead’s Middletown area psychiatric outpatient clinic works Monday – Friday 8AM-4PM with some flexibility to work evening hours providing individual, marital, family and group therapy using a bio-psychosocial model of care. The clinician is responsible for the formulation and completion of detailed intake assessments, including diagnosis, mental status exams and treatment planning.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in a clinical field; License required within 18 months of hire
  • Experience working with individuals with psychiatric issues and co-occurring substance use disorders
  • Five years of clinical experience
  • Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
  • Reliable use of personal vehicle as needed

  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). Gilead Community Services is an eligible employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. If you have qualifying federal student loans and work with us full-time, you may be eligible to have your remaining loan balance forgiven after making 120 qualifying monthly payments — typically after six years of service.
  • HRSA NHSC & STAR Loan Repayment Programs (HRSA LRP). This is an approved site for the HRSA NHSC and STAR Loan Repayment Programs. If you have qualifying federal student loans and work with us full-time or part-time in select clinical or paraprofessional positions, you may be eligible to receive loan repayment benefits in exchange for working in a qualified setting for a set period of time.
  • We pay the cost of annual licensing renewals.

This is a non-union position and pays $63,000-$88,628.71 per year dependent on level of experience, with potential to earn $5,000 additional incentive pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing individual and group psychotherapy services to adults with mental health and substance use disorders
  • Conducting biopsychosocial intake assessments, developing treatment plans and administering other required assessment tools
  • Maintaining clinical records and required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Consulting with the program staff, Medical Director, and prescribing professionals regarding coordination of care, risk management, and any medical and mental health needs
  • Establishing and maintaining collateral relationships important for the well-being of clients (families, landlords, police, legal system, employers, other agencies and treatment providers and any other community supports)
