What are the responsibilities and job description for the INTERMEDIATE TEACHER POOL position at Oak Harbor Public Schools?
Minimum Qualifications
This is a pool posting for intermediate level positions (grades 5 and 6) that are currently or may become available for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates interested in teaching Math, Science, English Language Arts and Social Studies are encouraged to apply.
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate with proper endorsement; Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred
- Successful teaching experience preferred
- Strong pre-reading, core academic skills, and student centered approach to learning
- Experience and/or training working with diverse learning capabilities ranging from special education through gifted including at-risk students
- Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work positively with students
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision making in collaboration with administrators and other staff members
- Willingness to collaborate and team teach with grade level team to provide differentiated learning
- Knowledge of Washington State education trends and the use of technology in the classroom
- Ability to provide a highly structured learning environment and work with a team
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and positive attitude required
