Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensed Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in surveying principles and techniques, with proficiency in various software applications. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing accurate maps and reports, and collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure project specifications are met. This role requires a keen understanding of mathematics and geometry, as well as the ability to utilize advanced surveying tools and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment.
- Prepare detailed maps, drawings, and reports based on survey data.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to discuss survey requirements and project specifications.
- Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries, topography, and construction layouts.
- Draft plans using CAD software and other relevant applications such as Revit or ArcGIS.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards in all surveying activities.
- Perform calculations involving trigonometry and geometry to establish accurate measurements.
- Maintain accurate records of survey results and related documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be licensed
- Proficiency in CAD software; experience with Carlson is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills including knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
- Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS is advantageous.
- Ability to draft plans accurately based on survey data.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Valid driver's license is required for travel to various job sites.
