Oak & Alchemy is a smokehouse and wood-fired pizza restaurant equipped with a full-service bar, set to open in June. We offer a higher-end casual dining experience and are currently hiring part-time dishwashers and kitchen utility staff to help build our back-of-house team from the ground up.
We are looking for dependable, hardworking people who understand that cleanliness and organization are a huge part of a successful restaurant. The dish station is one of the most important positions in the building — keeping the kitchen moving, stocked, and clean throughout service.
Responsibilities
Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish pit and kitchen areas
Take out trash and assist with cleaning duties throughout the restaurant
Keep plates, silverware, and kitchen tools stocked for service
Assist kitchen staff with basic prep and organization when needed
Maintain sanitation standards and follow proper cleaning procedures
Help close and clean the kitchen at the end of the night
Work with urgency to keep up during busy service periods
Requirements
Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Reliable transportation and strong punctuality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Must work well with a team and communicate effectively
Expectations
Cleanliness and organization are mandatory
Dish pit must stay organized and functional throughout service
Work with urgency and stay ahead during rushes
Show up on time, in uniform, and ready to work
Help wherever needed to keep the kitchen flowing smoothly
Maintain a professional attitude and strong attention to detail
